STUPID QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK!

This post is a few little comics tackling some stupid, and sometimes offensive/rude things people ask. Most of the time, they aren’t asked to be genuine questions, because the person asking already knows the answer and just wants to offend you, make you aware of their opinion, or make you feel embarrassed.

Image description: Box on the left displays an image of a cartoon girl with blonde hair and a speech bubble, with the text “How can you like boys and girls?”. An arrow is pointing to her with the text: “This is Taylor. Nobody asked for her opinion, but she felt the need to give it anyway”. Opposite, in the box on the right, there is a drawing of cartoon girl with black hair and a speech bubble with the text, “Easily. (how can you not!)”. Above this is two pieces of text, one saying: Bisexual, She/her; and the other saying “This is Alex. She is a boss.”]

This is for people who have to deal with questions about their sexuality constantly. People can love who ever they want, however they want, and they can do it fine without your stupid questions.

This strip is for people who have to deal with questions that seem just too absurd.

[Image description: Box on the left displays an image of a cartoon girl with black hair in a ponytail and a speech bubble, with the text “Why aren’t you wearing make-up?”. #Above there is text reading: “This is Shivani, she is Kirtii’s mum”. Opposite, in the box on the right, there is a drawing of cartoon girl with black hair and a speech bubble with the text, “because I’m pretty without it...”. Above this is the text: This is Kirtii. She is beautiful with and without make-up! .”]

This strip is for the people who are told they “look better with make-up” or are asked why they’re not wearing it. To these people: you are beautiful, whatever you chose to do (or not do) with your appearance!

[Image description: Box on the left displays an image of a cartoon boy with blonde hair and a speech bubble, with the text “Why are you a feminist? Don’t you want us ALL to be equal?”. Above him is the text: “This is Ollie. He thinks feminists are just men haters. In his head, a whole movement for women’s rights is reduced to a vendetta against men. Don’t be like Ollie. ” Opposite, in the box on the right, there is a drawing of cartoon girl with brown hair and a speech bubble with the text, “That’s exactly what I want. That’s why I’m a feminist (?!)”. Above this is the text, “This is Hazel, she doesn’t take sh*t from anybody!” and a thought bubble reading: “take your misconceptions elsewhere.”]

This is for every feminist out there, because you can’t be a feminist without someone asking this.
Intersectional feminists: Be like Hazel, unfazed by people like Ollie. Keep being a revolution.
