TO ALL THE SUMMERS I'VE LOVED BEFORE

Thank you Gladys for modeling.

nos·tal·gia
näˈstaljə,nəˈstaljə/
noun
a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.

Three years ago, I bought myself a polaroid camera, a Fujifilm Instax 210, simply to please the amateur photographer in me. Photography may not be my passion, but I love capturing the world around and people who surround me.
These past years, I’ve taken so many, notably in the summer, and since it’s my last summer before senior year, it’s fun to look back. Each polaroid resonates with such memory in my eyes. Those days and nights that were seemingly average and insignificant at the time now embody and echo music, smell, and conversations from the past. Although snapping pictures on your iPhone is quick and easy, a polaroid manages to sum up summer nostalgia much better than words can. To all the summers I’ve loved before, with these polaroids, you’ll live forever.
